The symbolism of the wedding ring actually varies from one culture to another. The general symbolic nature of the wedding ring can be seen as one constant and seamless circle indicative of the unremitting expectation of the marriage.
Throughout history there is evidence that the ring was simply placed on a woman’s hand because she was considered to be owned and she was committed to her vows. Breaking her commitment could easily mean death.
Rings have an extensive history of being considered a type of protection. Some traditions have believed them to hold special powers that were at their most powerful after a cantation, or blessing. Considering that we still often use blessings and canting as part of the ring exchange during a wedding it could easily be said that we still hold at least part of this view. The protection that a ring can offer is believed to be deep and rather mystical.

Anyone will say that orchids are one of the most stunning flowers on earth. Even people who are not interested in flowers will look at the orchids and see the beauty. But it is also very difficult to take care of orchids. That is the reason why many people prefer fake orchids instead.
Artificial orchids can be used for many different occasions. The can decorate your home; either in a pot or in a vase. Or they can embellish a wedding. Orchids are great no matter if they are in a bouquet or used separately as a single stem. No matter how you use fake orchids, they will be a beautiful kind of decoration.
The two most popular artificial orchid species are Phalaenopsis and Cymbidium. The reason for that is probably that they also are the most popular real orchid species. But also species like Vanda and Dendrobium are well-liked. And you can always buy them; also if they are normally only found in Vietnam in the winter.
Today the quality of fake orchids is really great. A few years ago an artificial flower was made of clothes for the flower and plastic for leaves and the stem. Today you will get realistic orchid made of materials like silk and nylon. At it will look exactly like the real orchid.

If you are looking to your own wedding gown preservation, then acid free paper is a requirement. You must stuff the bodice of the wedding gown, and any other garment that you are preserving with acid free tissue paper
There is more than just one kind of acid free paper. The kind needed for preservations is lignin free. It is also soft and very thin. It’s softness makes it perfect to wrap delicate items or to place between photographs. The soft paper avoids scratching and abrasions during storage.
If you wish to use acid free paper to store a wedding gown you will also need an acid free preservation chest. You must first line this chest with the tissue. Stuff the sleeves of the gown using rolled up acid free paper. An acid free bust form covered with the tissue should also be used. An alternate method would be to stuff the bodice with wadded up tissue. You will then lay the gown face down in the box with much of it hanging out the sides.
Then you insert flat tissue to pad the folds and protect them from creasing. Next, you then carefully fold the train into the box while layering tissue paper into the folds and between the layers.

Weddings can be complicated things. The complication of your “garden variety” wedding can really become quite complex when one is unfamiliar with the social customs or norms. Navigating your way through the potentially rough seas of a wedding is never easy. However, don’t worry, help is on the way.
Etiquette for Wedding and Bridesmaid Gifts
1. When is a pre-engagement gift a bad idea? The answer is when you are in Malaysia, as it will be seen as a bribe.
2. You might love leather and you might love beef. Maybe you even dream about the two things being together in some fashion, but if your giving a gift to someone from India, its best if you skip anything that was once a cow. Cows are seen as being sacred.
3. When giving that all important bridesmaid gift in the Middle East, definitely use your right hand.
4. Items such as alcoholic beverages and pigskin footballs should be taken off your list of candidates for a groomsmen gift if your friend is of the Muslim faith.
5. What could be a safer wedding gift than a clock? As it turns out, the clock as a wedding gift isn’t such a great idea in China. Clocks are closely associated with death.

Let’s face it. White has been the official color of weddings for centuries and well, it’s become pretty boring. Right? After all, is white your favorite color? Then why should you have it splashed all over your own wedding just to be traditional? You want color? Then put it where it counts - your wedding chair covers!
Don’t waste your money on the same wedding everyone else had at the same reception hall. The hall might be beautiful and the gardens might be lovely, but what is going to make people remember your wedding was unique and memorable? Color! Where? To start with, you chair covers. Bored with white? Fine! How about the bright yellow you’ve been in love with since kindergarten? Love paisley? Canvas? Velvet? Bring it on!
Of course, you will have to pool all your creative talents with those of your friends and family, because party stores just aren’t going to have what you want for your unique chair covers. And that’s OK!
